LA_LR-7287Lisa Abeyta is the founder and CEO of APPCityLife, a civic tech company which connects people and cities through a powerful, user-friendly platform delivering mobile solutions through open data for cities, non-profits and small businesses.

She is also Cofounder of Hautepreneurs, LLC, the premier network for women entrepreneurs in New Mexico and HauteHopes, a nonprofit focused on empowering underprivileged women to achieve success as entrepreneurs.

Lisa is a frequent speaker on civic tech, women in tech, and empowering women and girls in STEM. She serves on the Congressional Business Advisory Council for New Mexico Congresswoman Michele Lujan-Grisham. She also chairs the STEMabq Advisory Board and sits on the Albuquerque Women’s Entrepreneurial and Business Council. She has received the New Mexico Women In Technology Award and was also named a Woman of Influence by Albuquerque Business First. She has served since 2014 as a judge for the 2015 Stevie Business Awards for Women.

Huffington Post – Lisa was invited to be one of the first Icon Next contributors for Huffington Post because of her innovation in the civic tech industry and her leadership with women entrepreneurs. She writes about a wide variety of topics, including women’s issues, parenting, education, civic tech, and aging parents.

YouTube – Much to her surprise, within hours of launching her personal YouTube channel with only one video, it was viewed by millions and featured on ABC, ABC Nightly News, Laughing Squid, Gawker, and around the globe. Her video of her father went viral in 2014, with over 2 million views in 24 hours, 5 million views within the first week, and 6,584,994 within a year.
